Battle of the Books came to an end last night and I could not be more proud of these students. Each student worked hard and our school was represented well with their knowledge, sportsmanship, and conduct. While we did not take home the trophy, these students are winners in my book! Way to go Cheesy Winners! Did we really celebrate the 100th day of school this year? It feels like we just started the year but after thinking about it, we really ARE 100 days smarter. To celebrate this milestone, Kindergarten students participated in 100's day choice stations. They could build towers with 100 cups, create a picture with 100 snowballs, or make a structure with 100 index cards. If these challenges weren't enough, they could extend them to create the tallest tower or a structure that supported a weight. In the end, we wished we had 100 minutes in the library today!
A huge shout out to my husband and kids who came in last weekend to help mount a green screen! Filming will be a snap and so easy for everyone with our new app and permanent screen. It was perfect timing because second grade is filming this week and third and Kindergarten have filming plans in the near future. Now I just need to work on all those wrinkles....
